Srijan NEMA SHIELD | Paecilomyces Lilacinus
Product Description:
Srijan NEMA SHIELD is a premium quality liquid biological nematicide containing naturally occurring Paecilomyces lilacinus (Purpureocillium lilacinum) fungus. It is specially formulated to control harmful soil-borne nematodes that damage plant roots and reduce crop yield.
This advanced bio-nematicide attacks nematode eggs, juveniles, and adult females in the soil, weakening and destroying them naturally. It is highly effective against root-knot nematodes, cyst nematodes, reniform nematodes, lesion nematodes, and other root-damaging nematodes.
Regular application protects roots, improves nutrient and water uptake, and promotes healthier plant growth without harmful chemical residue. Safe for crops, humans, animals, beneficial soil organisms, and the environment, it is ideal for organic farming and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Suitable for vegetables, fruits, field crops, plantation crops, nurseries, and horticultural crops.
Method of Action
Paecilomyces lilacinus works through biological parasitic action against harmful nematodes. Its spores come in contact with nematode eggs, juveniles, or adults and germinate to form fungal threads (hyphae). These hyphae attach firmly to the nematode body and release natural enzymes that break down the protective outer layer.
The fungus then penetrates inside, absorbs nutrients, and weakens or kills the nematode. It also destroys nematode eggs, preventing future infestation. New spores develop from infected nematodes and spread in the soil, providing long-lasting natural nematode control.
